The importance of the software lies in streamlining the operating process at different levels of any port services and administration, enabling Port authorities to monitor and control the overall operations. It provides fundamental functions dealt with on daily basis at ports. Whether related to berths, decks and cranes or transshipment and warehousing operations, the software is especially designed to organize work sequence and enable as well port customers to enter data and receive accurate information about shipping status and vessels movement.
 
Typical users of this software are port administration, transshipment terminals, warehousing companies, shipping companies, shipping agents, charterers and forwarding agents. The decentralization of installations allows an internet connection between all concerned users without additional expenses. 
 
One of the essential parts of the Port Management software is the billing system. The system ensures the right invoicing of all business transactions within the Port, according to basic tariffs while incorrect bills are immediately cancelled.  However, special contracts can be customized with individual prices and services chosen. Invoices show all services rendered per vessel or per type of service. The billing system allows keeping the electronic account book and the journal constantly updated and accurate. After invoices operations are carried out and entered in the journal, the latter is then transferred to financial accounting and separated according to accounting periods.
 
The Port Management software runs on standard servers and workstations, using Microsoft Windows and Oracle systems.
